"Soft Landings- Every Tree Deserves an Understory"

Wild One's of Fairfield County Ohio and Michael Keeler of Ohio Native Concepts, LLC. present "Soft Landings- Every Tree Deserves an Understory". Native plants provide excellent pollen and nectar resources as well, BUT did you know their leaves are used by our native moths and butterflies. Let's learn why and how we should plant native plants and shrubs under our trees. Just some of the benefits of a native planting underneath your tree include: improvement of soil health, reduced soil compaction, improved water permability, and IMPORTANTLY soil that is readily accessible to the pupa of our native insects- allowing them to successfully complete their lifecycles. All are welcome to attend though parking is limited at the Coyote Run nature preserve. Parking is available just down and across the street at Pickerington Central High School. For those willing car-pooling from this location may be necessary. Donations are welcome and appreciated. Funds raised will be used to pay our speaker for his time.
